THS Office Closure: THS Offices will close at 2:15 pm on Wednesday, June 14th, for an all-staff meeting. You can leave a message at 425.413.6200 and we will return your call the morning of June 15th.

Cap and Gown Donations NeededOur THS counseling team is in need of caps and gowns to loan to students for the upcoming Class of 2023 graduate ceremony.  If you have a blue THS cap and gown from a previous graduate, and would like to donate it to THS, please contact the counseling office at 425-413-6204. All blue cap and gown donations are greatly appreciated! 

Senior Grad Vax Records: Graduating seniors, your vaccination records will be available for pick up on June 14th at Senior Check-Out.

Student Fines: Students/guardians, please log into the InTouch payment system and check for fines before year’s end; paid fines are vital to end of year checkout and if not paid, can hold up sports registrations in the next school year.

Senior Parking Lot Banners (Spring Events): Senior parking lot banners will be available for pick up in the student parking lot on Saturday June 10th. Sports banners will be available from 1:00 – 2:00 in the student parking lot and Band/Club banners from 2:30 – 3:30 in the front/staff lot. Future Ready:
**Students who would like to learn more about careers at Boeing should attend Boeing’s Factory Preview Day on Saturday, June 10 in Renton. Click here for more information and to register. 
**Current juniors who plan to apply to the UW--there are webinars over the summer to help you with your application. More info here. Last year the Seattle campus admitted 51% of Washington applicants. Attending these seminars could help you be part of the 51%.

Homework Help Sessions (After School): Teachers will be available, in the library, until Wednesday June 21st for students needing homework help in English, Math and Science from 2:30-3:30. Tuesdays are English/Math/Science; Wednesdays - English/Science; Thursdays – Math.

Yearbook Distribution: Starting June 5th, students wishing to purchase a yearbook can buy any remaining books from the cashier’s office. Previously purchased books can be picked up during Power Hour in the CTE hallway. If you are an off-campus student during Power Hour, you may arrive before school starts to pick up; doors open at 7:05 a.m.

SAMHA:
**Are you a parent/guardian interested in supporting the SAMHA club (Student Advocates for Mental Health and Addiction) advocate for mental health and drug prevention next school year?  Join us for our very first parent club support meeting on Thursday, 06/08/2023, from 5:00pm - 6:00pm in the Future Ready Center!  Please sign up here.  Please email any questions to Mrs. Huete at [email protected].  

**The SAMHA club would also like to invite you to our very first annual fundraiser at MOD Pizza, Maple Valley!  Please join us at MOD Pizza anytime on 06/13th.  The code is MODGIVES20. 20% of your purchase will support THS SAMHA activities and events for next year.  Thank you for your support and hope to see you there!  

Interact Sneaker Drive: Interact club is collecting used/worn sneakers until the end of the school year. Items can be dropped off in Room 227. They will be donated to GotSneakers, and all athletic footwear will be repurposed or recycled. Thanks bears! 

Fall Color Guard Interest Meeting/Auditions: Interest Meeting/Auditions for the Fall 2023 Season will be Monday, June 12th 4:30-8pm! Meet in the THS Band Room. Interest Meeting/Auditions are open to all Tahoma students who will be 6th-12th grade in the 23-24 School Year. Members will be split into our Field Show or Parade group. No experience necessary, potential new members will get information and get an opportunity to try it out. Returning members will audition for a spot in either Field Show or Parade. If you have any questions or can’t make it on the 12th but are interested, please email Coach Cathleen at [email protected]

Senior Grad Night Tickets: This grad-night event is quickly approaching! An evening of fun is guaranteed! Tickets are currently $140 but will increase to $175 the night of graduation so get your tickets now! Click HERE to order on-line. To pay via check, students can drop off at the front office, made payable to “THS PTA Grad Night”; provide student name and contact info (email & cell #) in memo section. Attendance:  Please note the attendance office operates by voicemail/email only due to the volume of calls. If students need to be dismissed, please provide as much notice as possible to the attendance office by leaving a voicemail at 425-413-6209, emailing [email protected], or sending a note with your student to the attendance office. Dismissal slips then get delivered to your student and they meet you at your car!

Athletics: Summer Sports Registration is now open. Summer sports include football, football-managers, girls' soccer, cross country, dance, and boys' & girls' wrestling. To be eligible for Summer Sports you must have an up-to-date sports physical through the end of August and have no fines. Please check out the Tahoma Athletic website for further information on sport specifics.
